Tammy Update (12/16/12)
The doctor just left and confirmed beyond our suspicions, Tammy's nuts. Wait...she's blaming her surrounding supporters and genes.
Seriously, she's doing well. The oxygen tube was bothering her by rubbing her cheeks and burning her nostrils so she has been allowed to remove it as long as she keeps her oxygen level above 92. Well, she's been consistently at 97 and above so whoohooo!! She is able to get out of bed on her own, but is still a little wobbly. She is sitting up for brief periods, and yes when we came in this am she was reading Complex Litigation!! Her sense of humor is intact, and she is sharing it with all who come to visit.....you have been warned... :-)
She is having a little trouble sleeping due to some bad dreams but the doc is also going to help with this. Tammy is having some lower back pain which may have happened when she jumped out the window of the house. The doctor is having a CAT scan performed to see if there is anything wrong there. We'll let everyone know the results as soon as we know them. The doctor has said that he would prefer to keep her here in the hospital at least 4 more days with IV antibiotics and that she "may" be released on Thursday. Stay tuned for more progress updates.
Tammy and Izzy are very thankful for all the prayers and help. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Amy just relayed an update to me for Tammy. Tammy was alert and able to
communicate using hand gestures this morning...even more than yesterday.
Her top three topics: wanting water (which couldn't be fulfilled),
where was Grace (still with Izzy's mom) and did we contact her law
professors (of course we did, silly girl!).
The doctors are still monitoring the progress of her lungs healing. Tammy is still on the ventilator but they have removed the IV because her nutrition levels looked positive. Tammy's blood sugar levels are also being controlled really well. Good news there!
I've just received word that Tammy and Izzy's Christmas has been taken care of as well. Outstanding!!
I promise to post the donation link as soon as we have it.
Thanks for your continued prayers.
